It was the first of the three Mysore sessions with john Scott today, it’s such a treat to have a mysore teacher in town for a few . I just so lovely to have the energy of the practice with lots of others the self practice group only has three or four of us, and the energy is just not the same as like fifteen people, I was totally blissed out afterwards.
I did get a bit of an insight in to Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana which is a posture I had seemed to be able to bind on the loose hip side for like ever and not on the tight side, even so neither side seemed to make much progress, any way john showed me that if you don’t engage the quads on the straight leg until you have bound then you can move the foot of the other leg further in, simple things huh ![]()
I do feel a bit stiff in the back though I think I have been cheating on chataranga , when I can get away with it!! so am paying the price, I also seemed to end up doing 10 A’s and 6 B’s today which didn’t help :-@ I’m glad it’s a moon day tomorrow so I can have a little restorative rest ( maybe some hip openers)

I’m glad to hear you are having a good practice with John Scott! I am so glad I can practice at the shala, i really need the energy I get from it to have a good practice.
I’ll try the Ardha Baddha thing, I have always had trouble on my second side, my left hip is soooo stiff!
